By accessing or using Sloper Studio ("the Service"), operated at sloperstudio.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy regarding personal data collection, use, retention, or deletion, the Privacy Policy will govern.
Sloper Studio is an AI-powered tool that generates parametric sewing patterns from body measurements. The Service allows users to input measurements, generate pattern pieces, and export patterns in various formats (SVG, PDF).
Early access: The Service is currently in early access (beta). Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee a specific uptime percentage during the early access period. We will provide 48 hours' notice before planned maintenance that may cause extended downtime. We maintain backups of user data to enable recovery in case of unexpected outages.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sloper Studio. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, we recommend that a parent or guardian is aware of your use of the Service.
Access to Sloper Studio is by invitation only. You must sign in with a Google account and be approved by us to use the Service. We reserve the right to grant or revoke access at our discretion. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. You must not share your access with others or allow unauthorized persons to use the Service through your account.
The Service, including its software, algorithms, user interface design, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Sloper Studio. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the Service or its underlying technology.
You retain ownership of your body measurements and any personal data you provide. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your measurements solely for the purpose of generating patterns for you. We do not claim ownership of your measurement data.
Patterns generated by the Service are provided for your use under the following terms:
You may: (1) sew garments for yourself; (2) sew garments as gifts; (3) sew garments for family members; (4) sew garments for payment if the pattern itself is not the product being sold (for example, a tailor charging for sewing services may use the pattern, but may not sell the pattern file).
You may not: (1) resell, license, or distribute the digital pattern files; (2) republish patterns on the internet or in print; (3) claim authorship of the patterns; (4) use the patterns for commercial pattern design, teaching, or derivative product development.
The underlying pattern generation algorithms and methods remain our intellectual property. Questions about permitted use should be directed to hello@sloperstudio.com.
You agree not to:
Sewing patterns generated by Sloper Studio are computed from the measurements you provide using parametric algorithms. The accuracy of any pattern depends on the accuracy of your input measurements. We strongly recommend making a muslin (test garment) before cutting into your final fabric.
THE SERVICE AND ALL GENERATED PATTERNS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING PATTERN FIT ACCURACY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR SEWING PURPOSE. We do not warrant that patterns will fit perfectly, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that generated patterns will produce a specific result. You assume all risk associated with using generated patterns, including the cost of materials.
This disclaimer applies to pattern accuracy and service availability. It does not limit Sloper Studio's obligations under applicable privacy laws, data security standards, or these Terms with respect to your personal data.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SLOPER STUDIO AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability for any direct damages arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.
This limitation of liability does not apply to: (1) damages arising from our gross negligence or willful misconduct; (2) liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including applicable privacy and data protection laws.
Your indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sloper Studio and its operators from claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from: (1) your violation of these Terms; (2) your use of generated patterns in violation of law; (3) your infringement of third-party rights through your use of the Service.
Our indemnification: We agree to indemnify you from claims that our algorithms, methods, or unmodified generated patterns infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
Neither party's indemnification obligation applies to claims arising from the indemnified party's own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for: (1) violation of these Terms or the Privacy Policy; (2) abuse of the Service, including unauthorized access attempts or use of automated tools; (3) cessation of the early access program. We will provide 5 business days' notice and a reason for non-urgent terminations, except where immediate termination is necessary to prevent security threats or ongoing abuse.
You may stop using the Service at any time by signing out and requesting deletion of your account by emailing hello@sloperstudio.com.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. We will provide you a 7-day window to download your generated patterns and measurement data in JSON format. After this window, we will delete your account and all associated personal data, except as required by law. Access request information is retained for up to 3 years for audit purposes per our Privacy Policy. You may request confirmation of deletion by emailing hello@sloperstudio.com.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy. Data subject rights (access, deletion, correction, portability) are governed exclusively by the Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before material changes take effect. Notification will be sent via email to your registered address and by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the 30-day notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California. For claims under $10,000, either party may bring an action in small claims court.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
